For the past 8 years the farm has been following the discipline of regenerative farming. Regenerative farming is a holistic approach to food and farming systems that aims to restore and improve the health of ecosystems, especially soil, water, and biodiversity, rather than just sustaining them. I have done this by using a mower attachment for the tractor as weed control. The cut organics cover the soil and provide carbon and nutrients for the microbial and fungal populations in the soil. About three years ago the farm seemed barely able to support thirty head of cattle but now the herd is 47 and there is abundant forage available. The objective in this regard would be to create smaller pastures to enable rotational grazing which in turn would support a larger herd.

Durante los últimos 8 años la finca ha seguido la disciplina de la agricultura regenerativa, un enfoque holístico que busca restaurar y mejorar la salud del ecosistema, suelo, agua y biodiversidad, en lugar de simplemente mantenerlo. La materia orgánica cortada cubre el suelo y provee carbono y nutrientes para las poblaciones microbianas y fúngicas del terreno. Hace unos tres años la finca apenas podía sostener 30 reses, pero ahora el hato es de 47 y hay abundante forraje disponible. El objetivo sería crear potreros más pequeños para implementar pastoreo rotativo, lo que permitiría sostener aún más ganado.
